Ingredients (5 Simple Ingredients)
- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
(Optional: salt & pepper to taste)
Instructions
- Brown the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion until the beef is fully browned. Drain excess grease. - Layer in Slow Cooker
Add chopped cabbage to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Top with the browned beef and onion mixture.
Sprinkle the uncooked rice evenly over the top.
- Add Tomatoes
Pour the crushed tomatoes over everything. Do not stir yet. - Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until cabbage is tender and rice is fully cooked. - Stir & Serve
Stir everything together before serving. Add salt and pepper if needed.
