Golden Crispy Cheese Rolls

Ingredients-1 sheet of puff pastry, thawe-1 pound (450g) of ground sausage (or pre-cooked sausages-1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)-1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or oregano)-1 teaspoon garlic powder-1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional topping)Flour (for dusting)InstructionsStart by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the pastry from sticking and set aside.If you’re using ground sausage, heat a pan over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is browned and fully cooked through.If using pre-cooked sausages, chop them into small pieces.Once the sausage is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly.Stir in the shredded cheese, Italian herbs, and garlic powder, mixing until everything is evenly combined.Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet. Make sure it’s large enough to fold over the filling without it spilling out.
