Garlic Butter Pan-Seared Chicken


Ingredients:

Chicken pieces (thighs/drumsticks) – 1 kg

Salt – to taste

Black pepper – 1 tsp

Paprika – 1 tsp

Garlic powder – 1 tsp

Onion powder – ½ tsp

Flour or cornstarch – 2 tbsp (for light coating)

Butter – 3 tbsp

Olive oil – 2 tbsp

Garlic cloves – 5–6 (crushed or minced)

Fresh thyme or rosemary – optional

Lemon juice – 1 tbsp (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken

Wash and pat the chicken completely dry.

Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Lightly coat chicken with flour or cornstarch (this helps crispiness).

  1. Sear the Chicken

Heat olive oil in a large pan on medium heat.

Place chicken skin-side down.

Cook 6–8 minutes without moving until golden and crispy.

Flip and cook the other side for another 6–7 minutes.

  1. Garlic Butter Finish

Lower the heat.

Add butter to the pan.

Add garlic and herbs.

Spoon the melted garlic butter over the chicken for 2–3 minutes.

  1. Final Touch

Add lemon juice if using.

Check doneness (juices run clear).

Serve With:

Mashed potatoes

Rice or garlic rice

Pasta or salad

Steamed vegetables
