Buttery Garlic Pork Chops with Smooth Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:For the Pork Chops:✔ 4 boneless pork chops (1-inch thick for the best juiciness!) 🥩✔ 3 tbsp butter (for a rich, buttery flavor!) 🧈✔ 4 cloves garlic, minced (adds deep, savory taste!) 🧄✔ 1 tbsp olive oil (for an even, golden sear!) 🛢️✔ ½ tsp dried thyme (adds an earthy, aromatic touch!) 🌿For the Smooth Mashed Potatoes:✔ 4 large potatoes, peeled & chopped (Yukon Gold or Russet work best!) 🥔✔ ½ cup heavy cream (for a super smooth texture!) 🥛✔ 2 tbsp butter (adds creaminess & flavor!) 🧈✔ Salt, to taste PREPARATION:1️⃣ Prepare the Mashed PotatoesIn a large pot, add the peeled and chopped potatoes and cover with cold water.Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.Drain and return potatoes to the pot.Add heavy cream, butter, and salt, then mash until smooth and creamy.Cover and set aside while you prepare the pork chops.2️⃣ Sear the Pork ChopsPat dry the pork chops with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, pepper, and thyme.Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.Add pork chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.Remove the pork chops and set them aside on a plate (they will finish cooking in the sauce).3️⃣ Make the Buttery Garlic SauceIn the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add 3 tbsp butter.Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring frequently (don’t let it burn!).Return the pork chops to the pan, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top.Cover and let cook for 3–5 minutes until the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!Plate the smooth mashed potatoes and place a juicy, buttery garlic pork chop on top.Spoon extra garlic butter sauce over the pork for added richness.Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme for an elegant finish!Enjoy !
