Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Ingredients

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning or thyme

1–2 lbs steak (ribeye, sirloin, NY strip, or flank)

Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Marinade

In a bowl, whisk together:

Soy sauce

Olive oil

Lemon juice

Worcestershire sauce

Garlic

Dijon (if using)

Pepper

Herbs

Mix until well combined.

2️⃣ Marinate the Steak

Place steaks in a shallow dish or zip-top bag.
Pour marinade over steaks, ensuring they are fully coated.

Seal and refrigerate for:

Minimum: 2 hours

Best: 6–8 hours

Maximum: 24 hours

Turn occasionally for even flavor.

3️⃣ Cook the Steak

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before cooking.

Grill Method

Preheat grill to medium-high.

Grill 4–6 minutes per side (depending on thickness).

Cook to desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare).

Pan-Sear Method

Heat cast-iron skillet over high heat.

Sear 3–5 minutes per side.

Finish in oven at 400°F if thick.

4 Rest

Let steak rest 5–10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
