  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

For the Cream Sauce:

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Optional:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (to thicken)

Instructions

Prepare the Base

  • Place diced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Lay drumsticks on top.
  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.

Mix the Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, broth, heavy cream, and minced garlic.

Cook

  • Pour sauce over chicken.
  • Add butter on top.
  • Cook:
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours

Chicken should reach 165°F internally.

Optional Thickening

  • Remove chicken.
  • Stir cornstarch slurry into sauce and cook on HIGH 10–15 minutes until thickened.

Serve

  • Spoon mushroom gravy over drumsticks.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
