Crock Pot Beef Stew (French Onion Pot Roast-Style Stew)

Ingredients

2 lbs stew beef or cubed chuck roast

1 packet onion soup mix

3 cups beef broth

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce (gives deep flavor!)

4 cups baby potatoes (or chopped potatoes)

3 cups carrots

1 cup mushrooms (optional but viral lol)

1 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional to thicken)

Directions

Place beef in the crock pot.

Sprinkle onion soup mix over the top.

Add broth, Worcestershire, and soy sauce.

Add potatoes, carrots, and mushrooms.

Cook on LOW 8 hours or HIGH 5 hours until beef is fall-apart tender.

Thicken at the end with cornstarch slurry if you want it gravy-like.
