Ingredients
- 8–10 chicken drumsticks (about 2–3 lbs)
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
For Thickening (Optional):
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cold water
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together:
Honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, olive oil, oregano, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Assemble in Slow Cooker
Place drumsticks in crockpot.
Pour sauce evenly over the chicken.
Cook
- LOW: 5–6 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
Chicken should be tender and reach 165°F internally.
Thicken the Sauce (Optional)
Remove chicken and set aside.
Mix cornstarch + cold water.
Stir into sauce in slow cooker.
Cook on High 10–15 minutes until thickened.
Optional Broil for Sticky Finish
Place drumsticks on baking sheet.
Brush with sauce.
Broil 3–5 minutes until caramelized and slightly crispy
