Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked white rice (short or medium grain)
- 4 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- ½ cup raisins
- ⅓ cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Lightly grease the slow cooker.
- Add all ingredients and stir well.
- Cover and cook Low 3–4 hours, stirring once halfway if you can.
- When rice is tender and pudding is creamy, turn off heat.
- Let sit 10 minutes to thicken, then stir and serve.
Tips
- Too thick? Stir in a splash of warm milk.
- Extra cozy: add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom.
- Serve warm or chilled—both are great.
