Ingredients:
1½ lbs ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 packets brown gravy mix
2 cups water or beef broth
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced (optional)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
Shape the mixture into oval patties.
Place the beef patties in the bottom of the crockpot.
Add the sliced mushrooms and onions on top of the patties.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the gravy mix and water (or beef broth) until smooth.
Pour the gravy mixture over the patties and mushrooms.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the patties are tender and fully cooked.
Serve hot over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice, with plenty of gravy on top.
🍽️ Tip: Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the gravy for extra diner-style flavor!
