Hamburger Steak With Gravy


Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
¼ cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for frying)
Gravy:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1½ cups beef broth
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
Mix until just combined and form into oval-shaped patties.
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the patties and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until lightly browned.
Gradually whisk in the beef broth, stirring constantly until smooth.
Season the gravy with onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Simmer until thickened.
Return the patties to the skillet and spoon gravy over them.
Simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
