Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp chili paste (or 1 fresh red chili, finely chopped)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp cornstarch or flour (to bind)
4–5 scallions, chopped
Dumpling wrappers (round or square, about 20)
Vegetable oil for frying
Optional dipping sauces: soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sriracha mayo
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, scallions, and cornstarch until combined.
Place a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface. Add 1 tbsp of filling in the center. Wet edges with water, fold over, and seal into a roll.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high. Add dumpling rolls in batches and fry for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces and a sprinkle of scallions.
