Prime Rib Dinner Recipe

✅ Ingredients

For the Prime Rib:

1 large slice of prime rib (medium-rare or preferred doneness)

1–2 tbsp butter

1 tsp garlic, minced

Fresh rosemary & thyme

Salt & black pepper

Olive oil

For the Mashed Potatoes:

2 cups potatoes, peeled & boiled

2 tbsp butter

¼ cup heavy cream or warm milk

Salt & pepper

For the Asparagus:

6–8 asparagus spears

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt & pepper

For the Au Jus Sauce:

½ cup beef broth

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Pinch of garlic powder

✅ Instructions

  1. Prime Rib

Rub the steak with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Sear in a hot pan for 2–3 minutes on each side to develop crust.

Transfer to the oven at 450°F (230°C) for 10 minutes, then reduce to 325°F (165°C) and roast until desired doneness.

Slice and rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  1. Mashed Potatoes

Mash boiled potatoes with butter and warm cream.

Season with salt and pepper until creamy and smooth.

  1. Asparagus

Toss asparagus in olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roast or pan-sear for 5–7 minutes.

  1. Au Jus

Heat beef broth with Worcestershire and garlic powder.

Simmer 3 minutes and serve in a small cup.
